Claire Schmeltekopf

Claire Schmeltekopf is a capital markets specialist at Kidder Mathews in Dallas, focusing on the acquisition, disposition, and valuation of commercial real estate assets, including multifamily, retail, and office properties.

Claire joined Kidder Mathews in 2026 as one of the founding brokers in the firm’s expansion into Texas. She is part of an investments team that includes Mart Martindale, Brandon Beeson, Wilson Stafford, and JD Cobb.

She specializes in both sub-performing and non-performing distressed assets, advising CMBS and agency special servicers, national and community banks, court-appointed receivers, and other financial institutions. Working alongside her team, Claire assists clients with the valuation and disposition of lender-owned properties and assets in trusteeship or receivership. She also has extensive knowledge of multifamily properties with meaningful experience in both retail and office properties.

Claire earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Baylor University. She regularly participates in conferences hosted by Trigild and the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council.
