Kidder Mathews Recruits Bay Area Marcus & Millichap Multifamily Team

Louis Kwok and Gabriel Sahagun have joined Kidder Mathews’ Pleasanton office, and Ed Vergara has joined the firm in Silicon Valley. The team, formerly with Marcus & Millichap, specializes in multifamily investment sales throughout the Bay Area.

Ed Vergara joins Kidder Mathews as First Vice President. With over 25 years of business experience, he has a comprehensive understanding of the market. Vergara has overseen hundreds of transactions — many of which have successfully executed 1031 exchanges into larger or more efficient multifamily properties or passive investments like NNN or DST investments. In addition to his expertise in commercial real estate, he earned a juris doctorate from Santa Clara University and has been a member of the California State Bar since 1998.

Louis Kwok, First Vice President, has nearly a decade of experience specializing in multifamily and mixed-use properties with a focus on the East Bay and Silicon Valley. Kwok caters to a diverse clientele including private clients, professional investors, family trusts, and overseas investors. While at Marcus & Millichap’s Oakland office, he was consistently ranked as a top 10 producer.

Gabriel Sahagun, Associate, focuses on multifamily and mixed-use properties in San Francisco and the East Bay. Sahagun managed and operated multiple family businesses throughout the Bay Area and has gained intimate knowledge and first-hand experience as an owner-user. While at Marcus & Millichap, he partnered with Kwok to lead the team’s mixed-use division.
