Project Outline

The Westwood Village shopping center, with over 400,000 sq ft of shopping, is spread over 24 acres. It has served the neighborhoods of West Seattle, White Center, and Burien since 1966. The Washington State Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal is within close proximity to the center and connects Vashon Island and Southworth with West Seattle, allowing a convenient place to shop for residents.

Canadian based Wesbild Shopping Centers employed the Kidder Mathews team
to handle the leasing of Westwood Village shopping center in West Seattle. Wesbild had difficulty convincing the brokerage community of the potential for their clients, so the brokerage team had to build a compelling argument.

Results

The Kidder Mathews team procured 21 tenants resulting in leases with an array of strong national and local tenants: Pier 1 Imports, Staples, Barnes & Noble, 24 Hour Fitness, Chico’s, Dress Barn, Game Stop, Pet Pros, Wyatt Jewelers, John L. Scott, Reflections Dental, Fresh Vitamins, Farmers Insurance, Eats Market Cafe, Taco Del Mar, Clearwire, Desert Sun, Gionnoni’s Pizza, State Farm, Sleep Country USA, and a day spa. The center is the dominant retail location in all of West Seattle.
