Kidder Mathews Welcomes Cost Segregation Specialist Chris Howard to Valuation Advisory Services in Dallas

Posted In — News & Press | Press Releases

Kidder Mathews is pleased to announce Chris Howard has joined the firm’s Valuation Advisory Services division as Vice President in Dallas, Texas.

Howard brings more than 20 years of experience in consultative sales and business development, specializing in cost segregation, tax strategies, and client relationship management. He helps real estate owners and investors identify opportunities to accelerate depreciation deductions and improve cash flow in coordination with their tax and accounting advisors.

Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Howard served as a senior account executive at Cost Segregation Authority, advising clients across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. He also held positions with Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters, working extensively with accounting, tax, legal, financial, and other professional services organizations.

“Cost segregation can make a meaningful difference in the financial performance of a property, but many owners don’t realize the opportunities available to them,” said Howard. “What attracted me to Kidder Mathews is the depth of expertise across the firm and the opportunity to work alongside professionals who understand real estate from so many different angles. I’m excited to bring that knowledge to clients and help them make the most of their investments.”

Kidder Mathews’ Valuation Advisory Services division completes approximately 2,700 appraisal, consulting, and cost segregation assignments annually. The team includes 43 appraisers, including 23 MAI designees, and seven professionals holding the CRE® designation. The firm has more MAI-designated professionals than any other fully independent commercial real estate firm in the Western U.S.

“Coming off our division’s strongest financial performance in four years, we’re focused on carrying that momentum forward by bringing in professionals who can expand what we offer our clients,” said Randy Clemson, Executive Vice President of Valuation Advisory Services. “Chris brings an established network across Texas and the surrounding states, along with a strong understanding of how cost segregation fits into a broader real estate investment strategy. His addition positions us to reach more owners and investors and deliver an even wider range of advisory services.”

Howard’s arrival builds on the company’s growing presence in Texas. While the firm’s professionals have long served clients throughout the market, Kidder Mathews established its first Texas office in Dallas in August, marking a significant milestone in its nearly 60-year history. The firm plans to continue expanding throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, with a focus on growing its Brokerage, Asset Services, and Valuation Advisory divisions.
