Kidder Mathews is pleased to welcome Kelly Gaddis and Mia Ponce to its office in Bellevue, Washington. Gaddis joins the firm as a senior vice president, with Ponce as a senior associate. The team specializes in retail and hospitality properties in Greater Seattle.
Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Gaddis and Ponce were with NAI Puget Sound Properties in Bellevue. Their tenant clients have included some of the most notable names in Northwest hospitality — such as Ethan Stowell Restaurants, El Gaucho, Momiji, Tutta Bella, Ascend Hospitality Group, Forum Social House, Harry’s Fine Foods, Due’ Cucina, and more. Their landlord clients have included Main Street Property Group, GAW Capital Partners, Da Li Development, Allegra Properties, and Limantzakis Properties.
The team has a combined 40 years of first-hand knowledge in the restaurant and hospitality industry, giving them a dynamic perspective when serving clients. Before expanding into brokerage, Gaddis opened 13 restaurants and numerous retail and food-related businesses in and around Seattle.
After earning an advanced hotel management and culinary degree at Institut Paul Bocuse in Écully, France, Ponce spent nearly two decades in fine dining restaurants around the world. Most notably, she was the pastry chef at Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley, California and the Inn at Little Washington in Virginia.
“Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with numerous Kidder Mathews brokers who have consistently made a positive impression on me,” said Gaddis. “The opportunity to join forces with these skilled and talented individuals on new retail and mixed-use projects, coupled with the extensive resources offered by Kidder Mathews, positioned them as the obvious choice for the next phase of my brokerage journey, ensuring advantages for both my landlord and tenant clients.”
“We are delighted to have Kelly and Mia join Kidder Mathews’ growing team,” said Monica Wallace, Regional President of Brokerage in the Pacific Northwest. “They are powerhouses in the restaurant and hospitality field and a great asset to their clients and the commercial real estate community as a whole.”
Both Gaddis and Ponce are actively involved in the brokerage community. Gaddis is a member of the Commercial Brokers Association, Seattle Restaurant Alliance, James Beard Foundation, Washington Hospitality Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Meanwhile, Ponce maintains memberships with the Commercial Brokers Association, Commercial Real Estate Women Network, and Washington State Commercial Association of Realtors.
