Project Outline

Build-out of a storefront retail space within a downtown high-rise building. The eight week, $300,000 project included a complete demolition and remodel of the space, including the installation of multiple high end finishes. The general construction contract bid to three contractors. The successful bidder’s change order fee was negotiated prior to execution of the contract.

Our Approach

On behalf of the landlord, Kidder Mathews’ Project and Construction Management group represented the tenant during the construction of their new retail showroom. Responsibilities included project budget development and monitoring, securing the building permit, construction administration through site visits and ongoing contact with the contractors. They also coordinated communications between the project team and four client representatives located in four different national offices. The ongoing flow of communication was a critical aspect of this project, and was handled efficiently and successfully.
