King County’s Transit Oriented Development program has a number of projects in predevelopment. Its on call contract provides consultants to assist in predevelopment feasibility, planning and permitting of transit oriented development projects.

Since 2004 The Kidder Mathews team has assisted King County in evaluating to feasibility of developing projects in Issaquah, Redmond, Kirkland, Burien and a number of Seattle locations. The most notable is the development of the Redmond Park & Ride site. A project that is about to break ground involving 350 units of housing developed by Trammel Crow Residential, a parking garage constructed by King County, and a transit center funded by Sound Transit.
