Earl Wayman leads Kidder Mathews’ asset services division from the firm’s office in Bellevue, serving clients in the Puget Sound Region’s Eastside markets. Earl joined Kidder Mathews’ Asset Services division as a property manager in 2002 following a career as a teacher and high school principal in Washington State.
Using an energetic, interactive personal style, Earl manages a diverse portfolio of commercial office and multi-use buildings in the greater Puget Sound Region. In this capacity, Earl is directly responsible for tenant relations, day-to-day operations, energy efficiency strategies / implementation, budget preparation/management, lease administration, vendor selection, contract management, monthly/quarterly reporting, and tenant improvement projects. His portfolio includes limited liability corporations, pension fund clients, investment trusts, and public/state agencies. Earl earned both a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in school administration from Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington. He is a licensed real estate broker. As an active member of the Seattle-King County chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Earl has served on the executive board, and as the BOMA Chairman in 2012 and 2013 and he previously chaired the Education Committee. Earl served as the President of the BOMA Pacific Northwest region in 2019. In recognition of his service to BOMA, Earl was honored as the Proprietary Member of the Year in 2004, received the Excellence in Leadership award in 2009, 2011, and 2020, and the President’s Award in 2016.
Earl is committed to lifelong learning for himself and others. Earl has earned the RPA® designation through the BOMI Institute and regularly attends professional development workshops and conferences. Because he not only enjoys learning, but loves to contribute to the learning of others as well, Earl has taught undergraduate courses in critical thinking and decision making for the University of Phoenix, graduate level courses in leadership, and negotiations strategies for City University and Foundations of Real Estate Management for BOMA Seattle-King County.
