Jonathan Steier

With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Jonathan Steier has established himself as a trusted advisor to owners and investors of retail properties.

Jonathan’s expertise encompasses both leasing and investment sales throughout the greater Los Angeles market, with a particular emphasis on the San Fernando Valley.

Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Jonathan was the founding principal of JS Realty Co, a boutique retail brokerage firm based in Encino. His extensive career includes significant roles at well-known firms such as Combined Properties and JH Snyder Co., as well as positions at smaller organizations including Selective Real Estate Investments and Cypress Retail Group.

Jonathan’s broad experience covers all aspects of the commercial real estate business. He has developed leasing expertise through marketing and leasing over 600,000 square feet of retail space and completing hundreds of lease transactions, working with tenants ranging from local businesses to national anchor tenants. He has represented multiple national tenants in their retail expansions, including Blockbuster Video, Mattress Discounters, Jenny Craig, and Chipotle Mexican Grill. In addition to leasing and tenant representation, Jonathan’s experience includes asset management, acquisitions, and brokering purchases and sales on behalf of his clients. This diverse background uniquely qualifies Jonathan to provide guidance on a wide range of real estate matters.

Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree from American University in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Windward High School in Los Angeles. Jonathan is a California Licensed Broker and certified Probate/Trust Specialist. He currently resides in Encino with his wife and their two teenage kids.
