Steven Reed is our Property Assistant Controller based in the Kidder Mathews’ Tukwila office. Steven works directly with clients and the property teams, creates and implements reporting and financial requirements, and translates those requirements into processes, controls, systems, and reporting. Steven is responsible for developing, supervising, and directing our property accounting team, including senior property accountants, property accountants, and accounts associates. Steven joined Kidder Mathews in 2022.
Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Steven held multiple controllership roles in various IT related industries, where he was responsible for all aspects of accounting, finance, and risk management. Previously, Steven was also with Weyerhaeuser for 15 years, a Fortune 500 company, where he led many company initiatives, including process improvement, inventory record accuracy, centralization of accounting services, and Enterprise Resource Planning implementation focusing on the general ledger.
Steven brings a fresh approach to improving processes and products and embracing a collaborative style that focuses on bringing people together.
Steven received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University. He is a licensed accountant through the state of West Virginia and holds his CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.
