Benjamin Prater

Ben is a highly motivated individual with over 15 years of experience as a commercial real estate broker and investor. He was born and raised in Sacramento and grew up in a local real estate family. His father has been a developer in the Sacramento area for 50+ years. Ben attended Sacramento State University, where he graduated with a BS in real estate and land use. Ben is no stranger to hard work and grinding. While at Sacramento State University, he was a walk-on to the football team and earned a full-ride scholarship within one year of joining the squad. Ben applies the same underdog mentality to his real estate brokerage career.

Ben started his commercial real estate career at Grubb & Ellis. He later moved to Colliers International, where he learned the finer details of the brokerage business. Throughout his career, Ben has focused on the investment side of the business with a concentration on the triple net leased asset class. As an owner of triple-net properties, he approaches every deal with the unique perspective of an advisor and an investor/owner who knows what it is like to have money on the line. Ben is relationship driven, and because of his approach, clients become more than just another transaction. He invests all his time, energy, knowledge, and experience into every client.

Ben has a long client list that includes international corporations, large publicly traded REITS, local investors, family, and friends.
