Merrick has been active in the real estate industry since 2001. Since 2005, he has been involved in the sale of over 7,800 multifamily units totaling more than $2 billion in transactions. Merrick embraces a consultative approach to help meet client’s tax and investment return requirements. He adds value and offers services beyond the typical brokerage teams.
Merrick adds value by representing sellers by analyzing real estate and devising a marketing strategy to generate multiple competitive offers, driving the highest potential sales price. He adds value by representing buyers with expert market knowledge of active and off market multifamily inventory. He combines that with current and future underwriting to devise an offering strategy to meet their needs.
Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Merrick worked for CBRE, starting in 2005. He also spent time in the commercial real estate finance industry as a commercial account executive, providing financing as a direct lender for commercial office, industrial, retail, and multi-housing properties nationwide. Merrick served as a property acquisitions administrator from 2001 to 2004 and was responsible for finding, underwriting, and negotiating the acquisition of commercial office and industrial properties in Southern California.
