John began his commercial real estate career in 1981, immediately following his graduation from Santa Clara University. With more than four decades of client-centric commercial real estate experience, he delivers strategic solutions that help his corporate, institutional, and private capital clients achieve their business goals. Over the course of his career, John has leased or sold over 20 million square feet of industrial and commercial space and sold over 150 acres of land for development in Silicon Valley, with an aggregate transaction value exceeding $1.5 billion. Clients he has represented include DWS, OnTrac Logistics, Sand Hill Property Company, Penske Automotive Group, Dosanjh Automotive Group, Harvey Automotive Group, Riverview Systems Group, Piedmont Moving Systems, Hensel Phelps Construction, and Urban Catalyst.

John is a former walk-on point guard at Santa Clara University. He lettered in basketball 1979–1981, earned a full athletic scholarship, and was elected Team Captain and Most Inspirational Player during his senior year.
