Kevin Held

Kevin Held is a Senior Vice President at Kidder Mathews in San Diego with nearly 30 years of experience advising investors and developers on single-tenant and net lease retail properties nationwide, as well as shopping centers throughout Southern California.

Kevin specializes in acquisition and disposition advisory, retail portfolio management, lease negotiations and extensions, 1031 exchanges, and asset valuation. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in more than $3 billion in retail real estate transactions, representing private investors, developers, and ownership groups across a wide range of asset types and deal structures.

His background spans every major facet of retail real estate. Kevin began his career in 1996 in retail leasing and ground-up development, representing developers, landlords, and national tenants. In addition to his brokerage work, he has personally owned and developed properties for national retailers including 7-Eleven, Walgreens, McDonald’s, Jack in the Box, ARCO, Rite Aid, and Comerica Bank. His work also includes multifamily and single-family residential development. Kevin’s firsthand ownership and development experience gives him a practical, well-rounded perspective on underwriting, operations, and long-term value creation.
