About

Eric Cross has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He currently holds the position of senior vice president with Kidder Mathews Valuation Advisory Services in the Downtown Los Angeles office.

Eric focuses on valuation assignments in Southern California markets such as Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, San Bernardino, and Ventura Counties. He also has extensive experience in the Central Valley of California, including Sacramento. Eric has provided appraisals for estate planning, tax purposes, portfolio management, litigation support, ownership and rent disputes, and commercial loan underwriting.

Eric’s valuation experience includes traditional property types; multifamily, industrial, vacant land, office, retail, mixed-use properties, and special purpose properties such as churches, rail yards, equestrian centers, schools, and sea & airport facilities (FBO). For the first ten years of his real estate career, he focused almost exclusively on industrial properties, including food processing, refrigerated storage, business parks, and mega-distribution warehouses. Eric prepares discounted cash flow analyses. Owners and occupants have included but are not limited to Ross, United Grocers, Whirlpool, Sunkist, Sunny Delight, Waste Management, Northrup Grumman, U.S Growers, Contessa, Scientology, CVS, Carl’s Jr., Dollar General, O’Reilly, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Vons, Jack in the Box, LA Fitness, Trader Joe’s, and Office Max.

Eric began his real estate career with Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE, Inc., before forming Independent Valuation Consultants, Inc. (IVC-Appraisal). Prior to commercial real estate, he was an operations manager at a global apparel manufacturer, a bilingual schoolteacher, and he worked in international development.
