Mark attended the University of Cincinnati, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in communication. He has earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), and he is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Mark is a past board member of Albuquerque Uptown Progress Team and Big Brother Big Sisters of Northern New Mexico.

Mark Butcher leads Kidder Mathews’ Asset Services in the Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. He is responsible for developing and directing the property teams, client development and support, and overall quality control in service delivery.
Mark brings over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate management to Kidder Mathews. Before joining the firm, he was the market leader for Alexandria Real Estate Equities’ San Diego Asset Service division, consisting of approximately 10 million square feet of owned life science and tech assets. Before Alexandria, he was a managing director with CBRE in San Diego, overseeing nearly 100 professionals and a broad range of assets in excess of 13 million square feet.
During his career, Mark has gained valuable experience and developed strong working relationships with owners and users of lab, office, industrial, and retail assets.
Mark’s background includes extensive experience with leading client relations, new business development, portfolio management, financial reporting, budgeting, operating expense reconciliations, workplace safety and security, and construction project management.
