About

Kyle Brown, MAI , ARA is a senior vice president in the Valuation Advisory Services group at Kidder Mathews. Based in Boise, he serves markets in the Northwest United States including Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho — as well as Northern and Central California, concentrating on South San Jose and the Salinas Valley.

Kyle graduated from Cal Poly, SLO in 2003 and subsequently earned his contractor’s license while working in construction in San Luis Obispo, California. He began working full-time as a commercial real estate appraiser in 2007 for his family firm, Stephen Brown Associates, Inc. In 2024, he joined Kidder Mathews.

Kyle’s appraisal experience includes a variety of general commercial properties (retail, office, industrial, multifamily) and agricultural properties (row crops, ranches, rural residential, greenhouses, vineyards, etc.). He has worked on numerous proposed developments and specialty properties, including airports, schools, churches, senior living facilities, conservation easements, eminent domain assignments, cannabis facilities, and Farm Labor Housing Loan (H-2A) projects for seasonal workers. Clients have included attorneys, public agencies, nonprofit entities, private property owners, estates, and financial institutions. He is also qualified as an expert witness in Monterey County.
