The Bellevue City Council voted unanimously on March 25 to advance the city’s updated 2026-32 Affordable Housing Strategy, moving the comprehensive seven-year plan toward final action expected in April. The strategy, which replaces Bellevue’s original plan adopted in 2017, establishes a target of building or preserving 5,700 affordable homes over the next decade — a 128 percent increase from its previous target.
