Kidder Mathews is pleased to welcome Dan Dahl and David Gurry as executive vice presidents in Seattle. They bring decades of experience representing office landlords and tenants in downtown, facilitating some of the area’s largest and most complex transactions.
Before joining Kidder Mathews, Dahl and Gurry were a top-producing team at Colliers for nearly 17 years. Prior to Colliers, they worked together at CBRE for over a decade.
The team has a prolific track record of success negotiating over 1,500 leases and sales, totaling more than three million square feet and $2 billion in consideration. Their extensive client base includes Invesco, PGIM, DWS, BlackRock, Carlyle Group, and Goldman Sachs, among many other notable names.
“We are excited to join Kidder Mathews and be part of the firm’s collaborative team of veterans, recognized in the industry as best in class,” said Dahl.
“After the events of the last four years, we are prepared to capitalize on a market that stabilizes and recovers,” said Gurry. “Kidder Mathews offers a strong, dynamic platform to help us maximize opportunities for clients.”
Dahl and Gurry arrive at Kidder Mathews during a time of momentous growth up and down the West Coast for the company. They will join the full team of established brokers at the firm’s new headquarters at Two Union Square this summer.
“Our renewed 10-year commitment confirms our dedication to downtown Seattle and growing our presence throughout the West Coast,” said Chairman and CEO Bill Frame, SIOR, CCIM. “We are investing in our professionals by doubling down on our infrastructure, technology, research, and marketing to further enhance our already solid platform.”
Kidder Mathews has been headquartered at Two Union for nearly 30 years. This summer, the company is moving into a new space at the Class A tower with custom renovations and buildout to support its ongoing growth.
Despite the current choppy environment in commercial real estate, the firm has been increasing its bench of top, tenured talent — including 26 new brokers in the Pacific Northwest since January 2023.
In addition to an uptick in new brokers, Kidder Mathews is seeing record numbers in its Asset Services group. The division marked its highest revenue to date in 2023, with largescale assignments such as one million square feet of office space at 555 Tower in downtown Bellevue.
Kidder Mathews’ Valuation Advisory is also enjoying substantial growth, with a more than 50% increase in assignments over the past six years. The division continues to attract the industry’s highest-quality professionals, with more than half of its appraisers holding the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. With this, the firm has more professionals with the designation than any other independent commercial real estate firm on the West Coast.
