Following the pandemic, as it pivoted to more takeout and less sit-down emphasis for its many locations, Starbucks shuttered its highly visible Capitol Hill location at 1600 E. Olive Way. Public safety concerns were then cited in the company’s summer 2022 announcement, when Starbucks also closed five local stores including Westlake Center.
