Advantech has secured a 9.5-acre property in Tustin, California for its North American headquarters, through a ground lease with an option to purchase with an intent to take ownership of the property at favorable terms in 2034. Kidder Mathews brokers Eric Tse and Oliver Ternate, SIOR represented the Taiwan-based technology company in securing the lease from the South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD).
Plans for the build-to-suit headquarters include a six-story 108,942-square-foot office building. An additional two-story 78,837-square-foot warehouse facility will be used for storage, light manufacturing, repairing, and packaging of non-hazardous industrial computer-related products.
The property is part of SOCCCD’s Advanced Technology & Education Park (ATEP), which serves as a satellite campus for both Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College. Advantech intends to break ground on construction at the corner of Red Hill Avenue and Victory Road later this year.
“After analyzing various submarkets across Southern California, we identified ATEP as a truly unique opportunity for Advantech to build a custom-tailored facility, in Orange County’s dynamic technology hub,” said Tse. “This new North American headquarters will undoubtedly serve as a platform for Advantech’s future growth and cutting-edge innovation,” added Ternate.
