Kidder Mathews Welcomes Veteran Multifamily Specialist Josh Luchs to Century City Office

Posted In — News & Press | Press Releases

Kidder Mathews continues its strategic growth in Southern California, welcoming multifamily investment specialist Josh Luchs to the firm’s Century City office as Executive Vice President. Before joining Kidder Mathews, he was a senior vice president with CBRE in Beverly Hills.

Luchs began his commercial real estate career in 2008. Since then, he has become a prominent broker in Greater Los Angeles, closing over 200 transactions totaling more than half a billion dollars in the last decade alone. Prior to CBRE, Luchs was a top producer at Marcus & Millichap and Director of the firm’s National Multi Housing Group and Associate Director of the Net Leased Retail Group. He has been widely recognized in his field, earning Marcus & Millichap’s Sales Recognition Award (SRA) and its Platinum National Achievement Award (NAA), given to a select group of top producers nationwide.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Kidder Mathews. The firm’s unique business platform, research, and marketing services will be a tremendous asset to my long-time clients as well as new prospects, who will benefit from the clients-first culture that this company has built its reputation upon,” said Luchs. “It is exciting for me to associate with the high quality of established brokers here, along with the company’s aggressive growth trajectory in Southern California, which will continue to capture market share.”

Since the beginning of the year, Kidder Mathews has been rapidly expanding its presence in Southern California — adding 39 brokers to its roster in the region, including Luchs. In addition, the company has been growing its California leadership team. Last month, David Nelson — another former Marcus & Millichap leader — joined Kidder Mathews as Regional President of Brokerage for Northern California and Nevada. Other recent recruits include former CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield leader Eric Paulsen as Regional President of Southern California and Arizona, and former CBRE and Grubb & Ellis leader Jim Kruse as Regional President of Greater Los Angeles.

“Josh brings a unique skill set to Kidder Mathews that includes both strong brokerage skills, resume, and the ability to train and motivate young brokers that exist on his team. He is perfect for our company to deepen our talent pool and further client value,” said Kruse.
