Space Manufacturing Startup Backed by Tinder Co-Founder Inks Deal To Relocate HQ to El Segundo, California

A manufacturing company with an out-of-this-world business plan aims to move its headquarters to El Segundo, California, from nearby Torrance as it expands.

Varda Space Systems, a manufacturer that plans to make products such as fiber optic cables and pharmaceuticals in space, signed a 10-year deal for the full 61,000 square feet at 225 S. Aviation Blvd., according to CoStar data. Varda is moving from its office at 433 Alaska Ave. in Torrance.
