High-Rise Plan Near St. James is Dead, With Lot for Sale

Two Eastside investors paid almost $5.8 million four years ago for a parking lot at 815 Ninth Ave., directly west of St. James Cathedral. There soon followed a 29-story apartment plan from MG2, which would’ve blocked views for both the cathedral and, downhill on the same block, the Graystone condominium tower that’s now under construction.
