Amazon continues to deliver more employees to the Eastside.
The company announced today that it has secured a location in Redmond for more than 800 Amazon Web Services (AWS) employees. It also will be expanding its Project Kuiper satellite operation in the city, according to a blog post.
The 800 AWS employees are in addition to the 600 AWS employees announced last year for a building at Redmond Town Center. Amazon will house the 800 AWS employees — a mix of software developers, user experience designers, and technical program managers — in a 137,000-square-foot building at 16331 NE 72nd Way, located across 164th Avenue Northeast from the Archer Hotel and bordering Bear Creek Parkway.
