Veteran industry leader, Paul Klink, has joined Kidder Mathews’ San Diego office as an executive vice president. Klink specializes in institutional industrial properties, and will be joining forces with Mickey Morera, Kidder Mathews’ executive vice president and the managing director of the San Diego office. Together they will focus on major institutional and corporate assignments.
Klink is a 35-year veteran in the commercial real estate industry. His career has been primarily focused on providing local and institutional clients the entire suite of commercial real estate services including investment sales, leasing, and asset management. Before that, he was the executive managing director of investor services for Cushman & Wakefield.
“Kidder Mathews provides a significant high-touch service element that is often missing in commercial real estate today. As many other service providers have been focused on IPOs, earnings, and recurring revenue, they have lost the critical client-first element to the formula,” said Klink. “Kidder is one of the last privately held broker-owned firms that allow their professionals to be creative for their clients, as well as provide exceptional support wherever needed. This brings it all home for me as starting my real estate career as a broker in
San Diego in 1985,” he said.
Klink and Morera have known each other for over 20 years and have often discussed working together. They plan to build a business for an exclusive host of institutional investment clients who recognize the senior level of experience and service they provide.
“Today, it’s becoming less and less about where you work and more about who you work with and the ethical standards you set for yourself and that you provide for your clients,” said Klink. “Mickey’s market knowledge, work ethic, and creative approach to finding rare off-market opportunities is the best I have seen in our industry,” said Klink.
Morera is a well-known top producing broker in the San Diego region with 30 years of commercial real estate experience. He specializes in landlord and tenant representation of corporate headquarters and R&D/flex and industrial facility sales and leasing. Over the course of his career, he has successfully negotiated leases and sales in excess of 27 million square feet with a total transaction volume of $3.8 billion. “We are super excited that Paul is joining Kidder Mathews to combine his depth of institutional experience and relationships with our broad local knowledge of the dynamic San Diego industrial and office markets,” said Morera. Mark Read, Kidder Mathews regional president, agrees, “We are thrilled to welcome Paul. His expertise, professionalism, and wisdom will be a great addition as we continue our regional and West Coast success,” said Read.
