It took seven years, but the Port of Everett officially owns the former Kimberly-Clark mill property on the Everett waterfront.
The $33 million sale closed Friday. The port plans to develop three-quarters of the 77 acres, which includes 58.4 acres of the former mill site, for maritime use. The rest will be used for aquatic management and public access.
