Tacoma WA

Kirkland-based Vector Development Co. recently announced plans to build a $9.5M, 78K SF distribution center in Tacoma.

The facility will be leased to one or more distribution, warehouse or manufacturing tenants.

The development, called Tacoma I-5, will be at 2519 South 96th St., Tacoma. As the name implies, it will have easy freeway access and will be close to the Port of Tacoma.

Construction will begin in March and be complete by September.

Pennon Construction will be the general contractor. SynThesis Architects designed the structure. Barghausen Consulting Engineers and Shutler Consulting Engineers will provide the engineering services. Doug Klein and Laura Fox of Kidder Mathews will handle the leasing.

This will be Vector’s third project that breaks ground in spring 2019. It also recently announced the $45M, 382K SF Soos Creek Business Park in Covington and a 950-unit, Class-A, three-story self-storage project in Tacoma.

“We are interested in additional development projects and build-to-suit opportunities throughout western Washington,” Vector Development President Tyler Litzenberger said.
