Kidder Mathews bolstered its San Francisco Bay Area presence with the addition of Eric Luhrs, a 30-year commercial real estate veteran who will oversee its Northern California and Nevada regions as EVP of brokerage. He will lead the firm’s San Francisco, Redwood City, San Jose, Sacramento, Roseville, and Reno offices, with a focus on strategic business development and recruiting brokerage talent.

Luhrs has been involved in more than 20 million square feet of investment sales and lease transactions over his career. His CRE background includes asset management leadership roles with both Equity Office Properties and Panattoni Development, as well as providing advisory and consulting services to Bay Area developers and owners.

Luhrs says, “The fact that they are independently owned and plan to stay that way is unique in the industry and part of what I see as critical to the firm’ success, and it is what differentiates them from other publicly-held brokerage firms.”
