Kidder Mathews Negotiates Sale of 24-Unit Community in San Diego

Located at 1770 Evergreen St., in the city’s Point Loma Heights neighborhood, the 1965-built property features a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments.

AMG Evergreen Apartments LP has bought Evergreen Villas, a 24-unit community in San Diego. Although the San Diego County Assessor’s office most recently evaluated the asset at roughly $2.6 million, it sold for $7.7 million.

Kidder Mathews Senior Vice President Eric Comer, Executive Vice President Jim Neil and Senior Vice President Merrick Matricardi represented the buyer, while Steve Huffman and George Mazis acted as principals in the negotiations. In February 2018, Kidder Mathews arranged the $3.9 million sale of a 20-unit community in Escondido, Calif. Scott & Quinn Real Estate Owner Broker Jim Scott represented the seller, Kathryn Hattox Trust. Altas Management Group will be managing the property.

The building offers easy access to Nimitz Boulevard, Lowell Street, Rosecrans Street and N. Harbor Drive. Chase Bank, Navy Exchange Autoport, NEX Mini Mart, 7-Eleven and Holiday Inn San Diego – Bayside are all located nearby.
