Wireless communications technology provider TrellisWare Technologies Inc. will be relocating its San Diego headquarters after leasing more than 72,000 square feet of office space at Summit Pointe in the city’s Scripps Ranch submarket.

Brokers at Kidder Mathews said the technology company has signed a nine-year lease for 72,331 square feet at 10641 Scripps Summit Ct. in the Scripps Northridge Corporate Campus. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The lease includes space on the building’s first, second and third floors. According to information provided to CoStar Group, the tenant plans to move into approximately 59,000 square feet on the first two floors in November 2018, with the remaining space on the third floor to be occupied in March 2019.

Summit Pointe was originally built on approximately 21 acres in 2000 and was recently renovated by Newport National Corp. of Carlsbad, which acquired the property in November 2016 from HD Supply Inc. for $31.36 million, or $209 per square foot, according to CoStar data.

TrellisWare in 2003 moved from Poway to its current space at 16516 Via Esprillo in San Diego’s Rancho Bernardo submarket. According to its website, the privately-held company provides wireless communications and signal processing systems to military and commercial customers.

In this latest lease deal, TrellisWare was represented by David Crabb of Kidder Mathews and Don Mitchell of Cresa – San Diego. Jay Alexander and Tim Olson of JLL teamed up with Chris Williams of Colliers International in representing the landlord.
