There’s been some speculation about who might be sniffing around the 175,000 square feet of available office space in the under-construction Broadway Tower, but that’s all it’s been so far – speculation.

Until now.

Lawyers Title has signed a lease for 10,069 square feet of space on the 14th floor of the 19-story building. The firm is the first to sign on for office space in the project. A 180-room Radisson RED hotel, managed by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, will occupy the first eight floors of the building. The lease pushes the projected occupancy of the building to 55 percent a little under a year before it is expected to be complete.

“We have tremendous interest in the office component and are down to our last five full floors,” said Walter Bowen, CEO of BPM Real Estate Group, the developer behind Broadway Tower, in a release. “We expect to announce several additional office tenant leases over the next three months.”
In addition to the office and hotel components, Broadway Tower will also include 247 underground parking spaces, as well as outdoor patios on floors 17-19. The hotel is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Kevin Joshi, a senior vice president and partner with Kidder Mathews, is handling the office leasing for the project. He also tended to the leasing for Pearl West, another new office project from BPM, which sold this summer for $87.5 million.
