Seattle, WA – Kidder Mathews is proud to announce the ground breaking of Motion Water Sports’ new 135,000 SF Pacific Northwest corporate headquarters in Snoqualmie, Washington. The new state of the art facility will provide consolidated distribution, manufacturing and 21,000 SF of R&D / office for their numerous water sports brands which include such household names as HO Sports, Connelly, O’Brien and Liquid Force. The new building will enjoy unobstructed views of Mt. Si and is steps from the Snoqualmie Ridge retail center.
There are a number of factors for Snoqualmie Ridge being chosen as the location for this facility but the main one was the central location to its employee base and excellent quality of life that Snoqualmie Ridge provides. John Archer, President of Motion Water Sports, said, “Being in such a unique part of the action sports industry, and understanding how important our people are to our business, we worked really hard at finding an ideal location for our long-term success.”
Panattoni Development is developing the Lance Mueller designed facility on a site within Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park that borders Snoqualmie Parkway. Thanks to the diligent efforts of the City of Snoqualmie and the cooperation of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Western, Motion Water Sports was able to meet their fast tracked timeline in hopes of being fully consolidated and operational by the end of 2012.
“The City of Snoqualmie really rolled up their sleeves to process the permits quickly and accommodate the needs of Motion Water Sports,” says Senior VP of Panattoni Bart Brynestad. “This site had its challenges with slopes and power lines that needed a collaborative effort from all parties involved.” Roger Thorn and Zach Vall-Spinosa of Kidder Mathews represented Motion Water Sports with the land purchase while Cushman & Wakefield represented the land owner, Puget Western, Inc. Panattoni Construction was hired as the general contractor for the project.
