Santa Clara, CA – GVA Kidder Mathews announced Solyndra’s deal won Deal of the Year at the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal’s annual 2010 Structures Awards this week, which marks the third time the deal has been honored this year. The Structures Awards program honors top players in 15 categories covering real estate, development, construction and design. Olenchalk, vice president in GVA Kidder Mathews’ Peninsula office, exclusively represented Solyndra, a solar panel design and manufacturing company.
Solyndra’s $45 million, 12-year lease for 506,500 square feet in Fremont, CA, which was completed in October 2009, is the largest manufacturing/industrial transaction in the Bay Area in the last 20 years. The Solyndra deal has also been awarded for Best Industrial Deal of the Year 2009 by the San Francisco Business Times last March, as well as 2009 Deal of the Year by the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers last February.
