TACOMA, WA – MultiCare, a not-for-profit health organization based in Tacoma, completed a 5-year lease transaction for 25,150 square feet at Horizon Pacific Center, 2106 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, Washington. The space will be used as a call center and back office support, and was previously occupied by Expedia for the same purpose.
“With big companies like Russell and Expedia leaving the Tacoma market, the perception was that no local tenant would be able to fill that size of a space,” said Dominic Accetturo, GVA Kidder Mathews, who represented the landlord, Horizon Partners. “When in fact there was so much demand for quality space, the space didn’t even hit the market, and it was snatched up by a solid Tacoma tenant.”
MultiCare’s Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital currently leases 16,000 square feet of space in the building, and last fall, Accetturo leased 22,000 square feet to Corinthian Colleges.
GVA Kidder Mathews is one of the largest independently owned commercial real estate firms on the West Coast, with more than 200 brokers in 9 offices in Washington, Oregon, and California performing $6 billion in transactions over the last 3 years. For more information, go to: www.gvakm.com
