Matt is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Washington. He holds his Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation with Building Owners and Managers Institute International (BOMI). Matt has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington and holds a certificate in construction management from the University of Washington Professional and Continuing Education program.
Matt Swalwell is a senior property manager based in the Kidder Mathews’ South Seattle office. Matt began his career in property management in 2004 as an assistant property manager. With over 15 years of commercial real estate experience in the Seattle market, Matt has extensive knowledge of property operations, accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and construction management.
Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Matt had the opportunity to manage marquis assignments such as Madison Centre in downtown Seattle for Schnitzer West, and Redmond City Hall and The Spring District project in Bellevue for Wright Runstad & Company. Matt’s previous positions afforded him the opportunity to gain extensive project management experience, some examples of which include the following: repositioning of 3 Class-A suburban office buildings, including mechanical and cosmetic renovations; renovation of 2201 Westlake’s two Mammoth rooftop units to fan wall technology, following the failure of a squirrel cage blower that sheared off its axle; and a lobby remodel at the Westlake Union Center building.
